following where You go

I have to confess. This pic shows my perfect idea of work. And I have been blessed to be able to do some of my work this way over the past several years.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
About a month ago, God started reawakening a few dreams within me which had been quenched by busyness and exhaustion. But as I asked for more clarity, this time He didn’t give me direction until I agreed to follow – before I knew what He was going of me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not comfortable, stepping out before you know where you are headed, is it? But I draw comfort that this is not a new thing for God to ask of His children. Adam & Eve, Abraham & Sarah, Noah, Esther, Ruth, Paul…. just to mention a few we know about from the Word.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As I was battling within myself for a few moments before I said yes (being honest here, folks!) I recalled this verse, which reminded me of Jesus’ attitude towards His Father.

Word: “Where you go, I go; and where you live, I’ll live.” Ruth 1:16

May I struggle less each and every time You ask me to follow, as You shape my heart to be 100% willing, 100% of the time. Especially when I become cozy and complacent working in what I know.
