When I look at myself in the mirror, I have a tendency to focus on my flaws.
When You see me through the filter of Jesus’ blood, You see the one You love.
The one You declared as right before You.
Whole, holy, clean.
Justified by and through faith. (Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16)
When I place my trust in You, the Just one, it acknowledges that I know how far I have stumbled into sin.
And instead of meeting out the justice I deserve, You defy all logic and justify me… declaring the offenses against me null and void, making me right in Your eyes.
Justice defying logic = just-ify.
But there is no ifs about it.
You declare me to be clean, righteous, and Your beloved… so I must be, even when I don’t feel like it or the enemy tries to amp up my doubts.
Very thankful justice defied logic and offered me mercy instead!
