Grieving and sharing together when a loved one passes is wearying. Add extreme heat to the mix, and you had my afternoon and evening yesterday. Lots of words of comfort, encouragement and love blended with remembrance and preparation.
I dropped into a deep sleep as soon as I could, but awoke feeling even wearier and speechless this morning,
God reassured me today through a few Words that He holds me close and is close beside me in this season.
His Words speak all the louder when I come into His Presence, still and quiet.
I pray that these Words? They are the ones that stick to us during our hard times. The ones He writes on our hearts, brings back to mind, and continue to unwrap over time through our lives.
Because I love tea, God often brings this phrase to mind, to remind me He chose me. 🙂
You are the apple of My eye. Psalm 17:10
I see you. Genesis 16:13
You are My favorite. Psalm 30:7 MSG
Rest in My love. Psalm 62:5
