Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
This phrase is becoming increasingly heard across the different styles of music being sung by His Beloved around the world.
It is echoing this same song eternally being sung in heaven, right now, forever, by His angels.
When His Bride fully arrives in all her splendor, she will be joining this worship song for all ages.
As Easter swiftly approaches again, it’s time to draw close and take a closer look at Him again.
Worth is a funny word, isn’t it? We love to purchase something for a low price and thrill over we saved off of what the item is really worth.
But it is rare a sale item will be sold for less than its actual value, for business would collapse if the costs of making an item were jot recouped.
One of the reasons Jesus is so worthy of our praise is due to the worth He placed upon us, and paid for us, while we were yet unworthy:
Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented Himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put His love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to Him. Romans 5:6-8 MSG
Our worth? It is based upon the worth and value God placed on us.
His Son died for us while we were of NO USE WHATEVER TO HIM.
We were items on sale and bought for a price beyond calculating her on earth.
Heaven bought out the clearance rack with its most costly currency in Jesus.
The Lamb who gave up His life so you and I could truly live spent all He had to purchase our freedom.
Literally and figuratively.
He went willingly to the slaughter because of His great love for us.
He poured all He had out on the cross, holding nothing back to show us how much He wanted us.
His actions showed us our value in His sight.
WORTH IT ALL.
And because He was The only one able to do what He did for our freedom, God elevated Him above all other rulers, powers and dominions.
Jesus is worthy.
He earned it.
He proved it.
He deserved it.
And all of heaven knows it.
Because of who He is and what He has done, He deserves all the praise and worship, thanks and honor we can offer Him.
Our praise is the crown we can offer Him, this worthy one we adore and follow.
Today, tell Him how worthy He is.
We all know He is worthy, and He knows it too. But isn’t it always so much sweeter to hear praise even though we don’t need it?
Shower Him in worth again today!
