You have made known to me the paths of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your presence. Acts 2:28
I find that often as I go through my day, my joy seems to ebb away.
Especially when I forget the purpose in whatever I am doing in the moment. I suspect I am not alone in feeling this way, for although the author of Acts seemed to pen this just for me, he too felt the same!
I know I am here to worship Him, bring Him glory and love one another, for we all are. My path? I know I am called to put pen to paper; fingers to keys; and lift my voice in song. When I do those things, I know I am blessing Him in using my gifts and talents for furthering His kingdom.
When I get distracted from my life’s path, He waits for me to look up and invite Him close. He delights in drawing near with his presence, and filling me again with joy and gladness.
May we leave ourselves reminders of this promise in our hearts & minds: He has set our path before us, and will come to us & refill us as we come close to Him along the journey.
